Referring to my original question post: “Merge blogs?”
answer: tumblr, you wont own your content. on your blog you own your content. tumblr goes down, your whole site is down.
my response to your answer: bah. that’s the BIG con to all this. It’s why I chose to go from Blogger to Wordpress to begin with. The major downside is that I seemed to have lost a lot of my followers and get much less comments now :( I figure Tumblr’s reposting capabilities would kickstart a new following trend.

Referring to my original question post: “Merge blogs?”
answer: what’s the difference between those two blogs? when they are small, you can combine your 2 blogs ;)
my response to your answer: you’re right - they’re both small so it’d be easy to combine them. the difference is that the original tumblr blog is mostly random posts I find on here with some craft content thrown in. the other is mostly posts about stuff in NY or craft tutorials I’ve written up. In a way, they’re not too different since they don’t have much of a direction and both end up with craft posts.
Merge blogs?
I have 2 main blogs - this one and my regular mellowbeing.com blog. I’m considering merging the two and just have the url mellowbeing.com point to the Tumblr blog. It would mean converting a few old blog posts to Tumblr and there’d be more original craft content (like patterns and new projects).
Good idea - yay or nay? I’m having a hard time thinking of why I should keep them separate as they are now.
Thanks!

Dan Benjamin on Back to Work:
“I don’t believe it’s possible to have a side business. I don’t think you can have a business on the side. I don’t think you can go to work and have a job and then come home and run a business. I believe that both the job and the side business… you will never…

It’s much easier to not know things sometimes. Things change and friends leave. And life doesn’t stop for anybody. I wanted to laugh. Or maybe get mad. Or maybe shrug at how strange everybody was, especially me. I think the idea is that every person has to live for his or her own life and then make the choice to share it with other people. You can’t just sit there and put everybody’s lives ahead of yours and think that counts as love. You just can’t. You have to do things. I’m going to do what I want to do. I’m going to be who I really am. And I’m going to figure out what that is. And we could all sit around and wonder and feel bad about each other and blame a lot of people for what they did or didn’t do or what they didn’t know. I don’t know. I guess there could always be someone to blame. It’s just different. Maybe it’s good to put things in perspective, but sometimes, I think that the only perspective is to really be there. Because it’s okay to feel things. I was really there. And that was enough to make me feel infinite. I feel infinite.

14. Do one thing at a time.
Yep, that should be THE resolution for me all year.
New Years Rulin’s
I’m sure you’ve all seen Woodie Guthrie’s “News Years Rulin’s” list, it’s been posted everywhere, but I think I first saw it on BrainPicker.
Since I write so many lists I thought I’d write a “New Years Rulin’s” list of my own.

A little something I’m working on. Not too sure how to add the faces or colour, or if I just like it like this!
